Well-being:

Well-being can be broken down into 5 main parts that you need to maintain a healthy mindset and body they are as follows- Learning, Connections, Mindfulness, Giving and Being active.

Learn-

Learning is something we all do everyday in some way, whether it is everyday skills or if it is learning something new, like a new language or a subject we decide to go into. Nowadays everyone has to stay in education until they are 18 which I find to be a good thing this gives the young people of today chance to find something that they want to learn about and continue their education and even give them more of an interest in going to further education and university.
Continuing to learn and being in that sort of environment has proven to increase your ability to deal with stress. With the deadlines and homework, it can help also build up real-life skills and ways of coping with this kind of stress. This skill can be translated into 'real life' situation. It also gives you many skills like organisation skills.

Connect-

Connector saying connected is another thing that is important for your mental health. When I say staying connected there is a difference between staying connected online and staying connected with people in person. Social Media, like Facebook and Instagram, can have the opposite effect on your mental health. Staying connected with people, in person, is what this part is about. Having

Mindfulness-

Mindfulness is a big part of wellbeing because it is not only physical health but mental health. making sure you are taking time to look after yourself in every way. Some of the things included in this are going out for a walk, eating healthy, meditation and finding ways to clear your mind when things seem to be going out of hand. I personally struggle with mindfulness and I have to go though a lot more of these techniques than a 'normal' person. This is because of my mental health problems, however, I do find all these things to work for me however, everyone is different and will find their own way of mindfulness that works for them. The main point of mindfulness is to:

  • Clear your mind
  • Get away from the internet/ gadgets
  • To be healthier
  • to relax

Give-

Giving is a good thing to do if it is for your wellbeing, or just because you want to. You get a sense of satisfaction when you are able to give something to someone you care for. Even giving to a stranger will give you that feeling. So you can do small acts of kindness or a big act of selflessness. This could be from donating clothes and things you don't use to charity, giving some food to food banks to getting someone the one thing they really wants, tickets to their favourite band, singer or famous person. Depending on what you can do, just don't spend every second on this one feeling as you need to look after yourself not just others so make sure you leave money and time for yourself too.

Be active-

Linking in with mindfulness exercise gives you adrenalin and causes your body to release dopamine in your brain, that good feeling you get when you achieve something. You can get small things like the graph above and depending on where you are there are many things you can do. You could also get gym membership, get fitness app on your phone and get a personal trainer to help you focus and push you to do the workouts and to improve on your workouts. They can also help you plan specific workouts depending on what you want to achieve by working out.

10. Follow Up

S.T.A.R-

Situation: What was the situation you had at that time? Where where you, set the scene for the interviewer. What company were you with? What were you working on? what changed and what role did you play in that scenario.

Task: Take down into specifics. Talk about the one particular problem you are using for your example. What was it that you were tasked to do?

Action: Now share your details and how you get over the problem. What will you do?

Result: What was the outcome of the action you took towards the task at hand. What went well and what could you have done better?

Example One:

Q-Tell me a time where you had to get you and your team out of a problem?

A- Well, when I was in college, College of west anglia Kings Lynn campus, there was a time in my media group and we were working on my first year final major project. This was my first time using green screen and I didn't know how to set it up so when I took the footage to post it would be ok to edit. I decided to so research about green screens and how to use them. I also asked our on campus company Springboard to show me what was the best lighting to use. So when it came to using the green screen I was able to set it up within that specific room as different spaces need different lighting, to have the correct effect on the green screen. This meant when I went to post production I found it easy to edit and the green screen did in fact work.

Example Two:

Q- What is your greatest strength?

A-  When I was working on my most recent project for my college I was given the job of writing the script. I had to make a script about what makes a good interview and what  makes a bad interview. My group wanted it to be shown in the way that both people were together and showing the good person helping the bad. I had to write the script in a way of showing the differences, reflecting on what was bad and what was good and where the bad person went wrong and why. My script did affectively do this and it was in a layout that was simple to read so the talent knew what to say, when to say it, what actions to do and when to do them, est.

Example Three:

Q- What is a weakness you have?
A- When I was working on my music video for the first year of the college of west anglia I chose a song that no one had ever heard of and I decided I wanted to do this fight scene that represented the internet and how it effects young peoples' mental health but I came across many problems and instead of fixing them to make this idea work I decided to scrap the idea and talk about my personal mental health problem. The music video is still something I am proud of but I still think about how I gave up when it was unclear how to fix the problems. I have changed and improved my ways of getting round problems but seeing a solution in high pressure situations are still things I struggle with.

Example Four:

Q- What are your hobbies?
A- Since I was in primary school I have written scripts, story and made my own story arcs. I have re-written and re-written stories since then and they have become my own little world I use to get away from everything that is stressing me out. I write about my own characters and have a multiverse for them, different worlds and different roles every time. It is a hobby but it also helps feed my creativity and helps me think of the next project I want to take on for college. This helps a lot when I have writers block for college work and college work helps when I have writers block for my personal projects. They help and feed one another helping me to improve my work every single day.

Example Five:

Q- Are you experienced in Adobe?
A- The last two years I have been studying UAL Media and TV Level 3, they have been teaching us how to use Adobe: Photoshop, Premier Pro, Audition, After Effects and more of adobes softwares. For example I use Premier Pro  to edit all of my projects for college, I use audition to create foley and mix tracks for my projects and photoshop to create graphics for them. For my FMP this was the most used example of all three of these, I edited the green screen and the whole footage on premier pro, I created all my backgrounds either on premier or photoshop and I creative a natural sound backing voice over and music track using audition. It wasn't my best work as I tried to to too much in too little  time, I didn't know how to set up and work a green screen. I didn't know how to create simple CGI and I had to learn all of this along side crating, filming, the essay and other things. I would like to go back now know what I do to re-try it as I feel like I could create it a whole lot better but I am proud of what I made because I pushed myself and learnt a lot from that one project.
